In Formal Terms

An experimental black-and-white portrait series about clothing, posture and performed identity

In Formal Terms examines how clothing and posture construct an image of control. A dark jacket, a white field and repeated formal poses turn the body into a carefully composed figure, while blur, doubling and displaced shadows make that image unstable.

Across the series, the subject moves between authority and vulnerability, self-possession and exposure. The portrait is no longer treated as a fixed identity, but as a role that can be assumed, rehearsed and unsettled.
